OVERVIEW

The Coaching & Consulting Associate  plays a pivotal, multi-dimensional role at DCG Consulting Group, acting as a facilitation lead, administrative anchor, and consulting support specialist. This individual is central to designing, delivering, and coordinating transformational coaching and training programs aligned with DCG’s mission to elevate human skills, leadership capacity, and organizational growth across Africa and beyond.

This role requires a strategic thinker and doer who is equally skilled in delivery as in backend coordination. You will work in close collaboration with the CEO/Lead Consultant and wider consulting and administrative teams to ensure seamless facilitation, effective program coordination, and high-impact consulting support across all areas of DCG’s service ecosystem—Coaching, Consulting, Training, Facilitation, and Speaking (CCTFS).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. FACILITATION & PROGRAM DELIVERY
    a. Training Design & Development
  • Collaborate with clients and the DCG team to conduct training needs assessments.
  • Design engaging and experiential learning programs aligned with DCG standards and global best practices.
  • Develop training materials including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, activity kits, summary sheets, and digital learning tools.

           b. Session Facilitation & Delivery

  • Deliver high-impact training sessions both in-person and online, adjusting delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Facilitate interactive discussions, experiential exercises, and practical role-plays to drive real-world application.
  • Represent DCG values of excellence, professionalism, and client-centricity during all sessions.

           c. Coaching & Mentoring

  • Conduct one-on-one and group coaching sessions using DCG coaching frameworks and methodologies.
  • Guide participants in setting actionable goals, unlocking their strengths, and addressing performance or leadership gaps.
  • Track client progress and support transformation through structured follow-up and reflection tools.

           d. Evaluation & Reporting

  • Administer pre- and post-program evaluation tools to measure training impact.
  • Collect feedback and generate reports with actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  1. ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATION

          a. CCTFS Program Management

  • Coordinate and maintain DCG’s master training calendar in alignment with client engagements and internal schedules.
  • Work closely with the EA, Client & Commercial Services Coordinator (CCSC), and Admin Coordinator to book venues, assign facilitators, and prepare session logistics.

          b. Records & Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date training and coaching records: attendance sheets, session evaluations, certifications, coaching logs, and feedback summaries.
  • Support in the preparation and archiving of session decks, reports, and client communication.

          c. Logistics & Event Coordination

  • Coordinate logistics for facilitators, guest speakers, and session supplies—including training kits, AV equipment, catering, and travel support—working with the Events Coordinator and Personal Assistant as needed.

          d. Budget Oversight & Compliance

  • Assist Lead Operations in tracking budgets for training engagements, maintaining cost efficiency, and quality delivery.
  • Prepare simple financial summaries for training sessions and identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization.

          e. Administrative Support

  • Support the Lead Consultant and training team with administrative tasks including scheduling, email follow-up, documentation management, and session prep.
  1. CONSULTING SUPPORT
  • Working under the direction of the Lead Consultant and Lead Operations, the Coordinator will support DCG’s consulting and strategy engagements by:

      a. Research & Insights

  • Conduct background research on industry trends, client sectors, policy environments, and competitor benchmarks.

      b. Data Analysis

  • Assist in interpreting stakeholder feedback, performance data, and survey responses to inform client recommendations.

     c. Presentation & Document Preparation

  • Create and format reports, slides, case studies, and facilitation decks for internal and external stakeholders.

    d. Project & Client Engagement Support

  • Coordinate timelines, prep documents for client meetings, take session notes, and follow up on deliverables.
  • Support the delivery of strategy sessions, retreats, workshops, and coaching intensives.

    e. Internal Collaboration

  • Actively contribute to DCG internal knowledge systems, resource bank, and content improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Psychology, Education, or related fields (Master’s is a plus).
  • 3–5 years of experience in facilitation, coaching, training, or consulting roles.
  • Strong command of adult learning principles, instructional design, coaching frameworks, and virtual facilitation tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Technologically fluent with Microsoft Office, Teams workspace, Canva, and cloud-based collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace).
  • Strong command of written and verbal English; ability to draft professional reports and correspondence.
